You will learn alongside fellow students in a  relaxed and friendly environment. Our qualified tutors carry out the class demos and provide individual guidance.  It is a place where we like to chat, share ideas and have fun. As a result, time goes very quickly when you attend these art classes.  This is a mindful hobby!

Beginners will follow the Foundation course. The four main mediums taught are drawing and sketching, pastels, watercolours and acrylics. Weekly classes are 3 hours long. This course starts with a drawing and sketching module which is the groundwork for the rest of the course. Many techniques are taught in each module eg drawing a portrait in drawing and sketching module or blending colours in oil pastels module. Students practise and learn these techniques through drawing or painting a piece.  Handouts are also provided to reinforce what you have learnt during the class in case you might forget!.

All paint, pastels and other equipment are provided in class e.g. watercolour  brushes, acrylic brushes, paints, blending sticks, masking fluid, palette knives, palettes etc.  Students bring their own paper. However we have sourced a supplier to provide enough paper for the course.  Details of the paper pack are below.

Also, we will set you up as a member.  You will then have access to members area for weekly class materials and videos where available in case you would like to check back on the  class demo.
